WHITE GRAVY

Ingredients:

  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter or bacon fat
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 to 2.5cups whole milk
  • 1/4 to 1/2 tsp cayenne pepper
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
    Instructions:
  1. Melt butter or bacon fat in a large skillet over medium-low heat.
  2. Add flour and whisk constantly for about 3 minutes, until lightly golden.
  3. Slowly pour in milk while whisking to keep it smooth.
  4. Stir in cayenne, salt, and black pepper.
  5. Keep whisking until it thickens to your liking.

BEEF GRAVY
Ingredients:

  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 2 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/4 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 3 Tbsp cornstarch
  • 1/2 cup cold Water
    Instructions:
  1. Bring the beef broth to a boil over medium-high heat.
  2. Stir in garlic powder, salt, black pepper, and Worcestershire sauce.
  3. In a small bowl, whisk together cold water and cornstarch until smooth.
  4. Slowly pour the cornstarch mixture into the boiling broth, stirring continuously.
  5. Cook for a few minutes until the gravy thickens to your liking.

PORK SAUSAGE GRAVY
Ingredients:

  • 1 pound pork breakfast sausage
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 3 cups whole milk
  • 1/4 to 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
    Instructions:
  1. Cook pork breakfast sausage in a skillet over medium-high heat until browned and crumbly.
  2. Add butter and stir until melted.
  3. Sprinkle in the flour, stirring well. Let it cook for a few minutes so the flour absorbs the fat and turns lightly golden.
  4. Slowly pour in the milk, stirring to keep it smooth.
  5. Continue cooking and stirring occasionally over medium heat for 5–10 minutes, until the gravy thickens to your liking.
  6. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
