
Ingredients
For the Meat Layer
- 1 lb (450 g) ground beef
- ½ lb (225 g) ground pork
- 1 small onion (finely diced)
- 2 cloves garlic (minced)
- 1 egg
- ½ cup breadcrumbs
- ¼ cup milk
- 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp black pepper
For the Lasagna Layers
- 9–12 lasagna noodles (cooked al dente)
- 2 cups marinara sauce
- 12 – 16 strips of bacon
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella
- ½ cup grated Parmesan
- Optional: chopped parsley for garnish
Instructions
- Make the Meatloaf Mixture
In a large bowl, mix the ground beef, ground pork, onion, garlic, egg, breadcrumbs, milk, Worcestershire, salt and pepper. Mix until well combined. - Preheat Oven
Preheat to 375°F / 190°C. - Assemble the Lasagna In a loaf pan or baking dish:
- Spread a thin layer of marinara sauce on the bottom.
- Add a layer of lasagna noodles.
- Top with ½ of the meatloaf mixture, press flat like a meat layer.
- Sprinkle mozzarella + Parmesan.
- Spoon marinara sauce over the cheese.
- Add another layer of noodles.
- Add remaining meatloaf, press flat.
- Add more cheese + sauce.
- Finish with a final layer of noodles + sauce + cheese.
- Top with Bacon
Lay the bacon strips across the top (slightly overlapping) covering the full surface. - Bake
Cover loosely with foil and bake 45 minutes.
Remove foil and bake another 15–20 mins until bacon is crispy and internal temp is cooked through. - Rest & Serve
Let rest 10 minutes before slicing. Garnish with parsley if desired.
