🍎 Apple Pie French Toast

Ingredients
- 1 loaf brioche or challah bread, thick slices
- 4 large eggs
- 1 cup milk (or half & half for richness)
- 2 tbsp brown sugar
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- ½ tsp nutmeg
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 can apple pie filling (or 2 fresh apples sliced & cooked with sugar + cinnamon)
- Butter, for cooking
- Maple syrup or powdered sugar for serving
Instructions
- In a bowl, whisk eggs, milk, sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, and vanilla.
- Heat a skillet with butter over medium heat.
- Dip bread slices into the egg mixture, coating both sides.
- Cook each slice until golden brown on both sides (about 2–3 minutes per side).
- Top with warm apple pie filling.
- Finish with a dusting of powdered sugar or a drizzle of maple syrup.
🌶️ Sausage & Peppers (Side)
Ingredients
- 1 lb Italian sausage (links or cut into chunks)
- 2 bell peppers (red + green), sliced
- 1 medium onion, sliced
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- ½ tsp oregano
- Salt & pepper to taste
Instructions
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.
- Add sausage and cook until browned (about 6–8 minutes). Remove and set aside.
- In the same skillet, sauté onions and peppers until soft (about 5 minutes).
- Add garlic, oregano, salt, and pepper; cook 1 minute.
- Return sausage to pan, toss together, and cook until sausage is fully done.
