1οΈβ£ Prepare the Filling
- In a skillet, cook ground beef over medium heat until browned.
- Drain excess fat and season with salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
- Stir in the chopped cooked bacon and shredded cheddar.
- Let the mixture cool slightly.
2οΈβ£ Stuff the Onion Rings
- Lay onion rings on a tray.
- Spoon the cheeseburger mixture inside each ring, pressing it in firmly to fill the center.
- Freeze the stuffed rings for 15β20 minutes so they hold together while coating.
3οΈβ£ Coat the Rings
- Prepare 3 shallow bowls: flour, beaten eggs, and breadcrumbs.
- Dip each frozen stuffed ring in flour β egg β breadcrumbs, making sure itβs fully coated.
4οΈβ£ Fry
- Heat oil in a deep pot or fryer to 350Β°F (175Β°C).
- Fry rings in small batches for 2β3 minutes per side, or until golden brown and crispy.
- Remove and drain on paper towels.
Air Fryer Option:
Spray coated rings lightly with oil and air fry at 375Β°F (190Β°C) for 6β8 minutes, flipping halfway.
